Relay For Life

The Subiaco Rotaract Club is putting together a team for the Relay for Life, happening in March next year. This is an early call, but apparently it booked up very quickly last year. Relay for life is a fundraising event for cancer awareness and research where participants in teams of 10 to 15, walk/run around Perry Lakes for 24 hours straight.

The rules are that at least one team member has to be walking at all times. The Relay for Life aims to raise funds and awareness of all forms of cancer in our society. Each team member is asked to raise at least $100. The Relay for Life is being held on 24 - 25 March 2007.

Fundraising WheelChair For Kids

An ongoing Effort to raise money for the WheelChair for Kids.

This will involve a trip to the factory for members sometime in September to see what the factory is like and the worthy cause it represents.

Movie Night

Hillarys Boat Harbor Amazing Race

An Amazing Race through Hillarys Baot Harbour, sponsorship and prize money. Possible Date can be after uni exams or during school holidays. Or have it open to year 12 students and above because they should have finished school

Need to make contacts, sponsorship, deal with Hillarys Administration, Talk with Parliament,. Government for Sponsorship for First Prize. Discuss with local business members and local business.

Proceeds could be joint recepients of Rotary Club of UWA Charities (selection of charity groups), homeless shelters, WheelChair for Kids, Sea life charity group etc.

Is a joint BBQ, Cadbury Drive & Awareness campaign to raise money for Youth Focus, a youth sucide prevention agency. Also to raise awareness of youth issues and information about our own club.

International Dinner & Inauguration
